Cabello Links Venezuelan Leaders to Coyote Operations

The Minister of the Interior, Justice, and Peace of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, stated that several Venezuelan opposition leaders, including Carlos Vecchio, David Smolansky, Juan Guaidó, Leopoldo López, and Julio Borges, are leading a human trafficking network at the border between Mexico and the United States.

Accusations Against the Opponents

During an interview on a podcast hosted by Representative Tania Díaz, broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Cabello stated:

“If the United States wants to resolve the migration issue, they need to go after the coyotes who are involved in politics, have offices, and hide behind NGOs”.

He also directly pointed to the mentioned opposition leaders, adding:

“They are criminals who take people. Vecchio, Smolansky, Juan Guaidó, Leopoldo López, Miguel Pizarro, and Julio Borges are behind this coyote network”.

Call to Venezuelan Families

Meanwhile, Representative Tania Díaz addressed Venezuelan mothers, warning about the impact of these actions:

“They are using their children as weapons of war, and it’s important that families know this”, she said with concern.

Connection with Former Colombian Presidents

Cabello also stated that former Colombian Presidents Álvaro Uribe and Iván Duque allegedly funded what he referred to as the “so-called trains.” According to the minister, these former presidents backed activities to destabilize the region:

“Who went out on July 28 and 29 to support Machado and Mr. González? The leaders of the trains, who came out saying they were with Mrs. María Corina. This is public and widely known”.

Cabello pointed out that these “elements” are part of strategies used by “imperialism” to create instability in Venezuela.

Response to International Sanctions

Finally, Cabello discussed the international sanctions imposed on Venezuelan officials, stating that they will not weaken the country:

“We don’t have anything outside the country, everything we have revolves around Venezuela, and it won’t be through actions against Diosdado or our president that this people will falter”.
