Boric Denounces Electoral Fraud in Venezuela
In a press conference, Boric spoke about the situation in Venezuela and made his stance clear:
“I have no doubt that the election was stolen in Venezuela. I have no doubt that today Venezuela has a dictatorship that persecutes those who think differently,” the Chilean president stated.
With these words, he reiterated his rejection of Nicolás Maduro’s government, which he accused of not respecting democracy.

Possible Complaint Against Venezuela at the International Criminal Court
Boric also addressed the murder of Venezuelan dissident Ronald Ojeda, a case that has caused great impact in Chile.
“If it is confirmed that the Venezuelan government was involved in this crime, we will take the case to the International Criminal Court,” he assured.
He explained that the Chilean judiciary is still investigating the case and that if Venezuela’s involvement is proven, it would be a very serious matter.
Defense of Sovereignty and Human Rights
The president emphasized that if a foreign government was involved in Ojeda’s murder, it would be a violation of Chile’s sovereignty and human rights.
“This has the worst precedents, and in Chile’s history, we know them well,” said Boric, recalling other dark moments of the past.
With these statements, the president made clear his commitment to democracy, justice, and the defense of human rights in the region.
