Chinese President Xi Jinping has instructed all possible efforts to be made to find and rescue the missing people after a landslide destroyed 10 houses and left more than 30 people trapped in Sichuan Province, southwest China.

The disaster occurred on Saturday at 11:50 AM in Jinping Village, located in Junlian District of Yibin City. This landslide caused severe damage, burying multiple homes and leaving many people trapped under the debris.
Emergency Response
The Sichuan government responded quickly by raising the geological disaster emergency response from Level III to Level I, the highest level on the emergency scale, at 3:30 PM on the same day. This change reflects the severity of the situation.
Evacuation and Rescue Efforts
After the disaster, around 200 people were evacuated to ensure their safety. Meanwhile, teams of rescue workers, firefighters, police, medical personnel, and technicians arrived immediately at the scene to assist in the rescue efforts and provide aid.
First Successes in the Rescue
On Saturday afternoon, two people were rescued and were quickly attended to by medical teams. Although the situation remains critical, the continued efforts of the rescue teams are focused on finding more survivors.
