María Corina Machado Says She’s Heading for the ‘Winning Round’

Opposition leader María Corina Machado sent a message to all Venezuelans on Monday night via her X (formerly Twitter) account, highlighting the progress made in the fight for freedom and democracy in Venezuela.

A Long Road to Victory

Machado reminded everyone that despite the obstacles, the Venezuelan people have made significant strides. “We held citizen primaries, brought the whole country together, built an immense popular majority, won the presidential election by a landslide with the official results in hand, and proved our clear victory,” she stated.

She emphasized that, despite the tough fight, they have built a winning position. For her, the current Venezuelan regime has been reduced to a small group of people, while the people have the support of the international democratic community.

Edmundo González’s Growing Legitimacy

Machado also pointed out that more and more people are recognizing Edmundo González as the elected president of Venezuela.

She highlighted the support of the incoming president of the United States, Donald Trump, who has already made it clear what’s coming for those in power. According to Machado, the regime’s leaders know they are isolated and that their days in power are numbered.

The End Is Near, but the Struggle Continues

The opposition leader noted that this struggle has reached its final chapter, which is the toughest one. However, she made it clear that they are ready to face the risks and that they will win because they have the truth on their side.

“They know that our strength comes from our defense of the truth,” Machado said, emphasizing that victory is within reach.

The Main Battle: Overcoming Fear

Machado also reflected on the courage required to continue the fight, saying that the main battle takes place in the minds of each one of us. According to her, “Bravery is overcoming fear, and victory over fear is an act of will.”

A Call for Unity and Strength

In closing, Machado made a call for unity and preparation. “I will not stop, and I know you won’t either”, she said firmly, assuring that new actions are coming.

She also encouraged everyone to be physically, mentally, and spiritually strong, as the struggle will continue until the end.

“We will win this fight together, because this is until the end”, she concluded.
