On Monday, January 13th, a powerful explosion sparked a massive fire in the area known as “Ye”, in the municipality of Tame, Arauca. According to available information, the attack was carried out by the National Liberation Army (ELN), through its Eastern War Front. Although no victims were reported, the incident caused serious environmental and material damage in the region.

According to initial reports, the explosive device was activated in an area with dry vegetation, which caused the fire to spread rapidly. The fire engulfed several hectares of land, affecting both wildlife and domestic animals. In addition, the crops of farmers in the rural area of the La Holanda district, near the site of the incident, were also severely damaged.
