A major police operation in Peru, supported by the United States, led to the arrest of 20 members of the criminal gang Tren de Aragua and the rescue of 84 victims, including two minors.

The U.S. Embassy in Peru announced in a statement that the operation was carried out with the collaboration of the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI Lima).
A Massive Deployment of Police Forces
On Friday night, a team of 300 officers from the Peruvian National Police (PNP), along with agents from HSI Lima and the Transnational Criminal Investigations Unit of HSI, conducted the operation in various areas of Lima.

Arrests and Victim Rescue
The interventions took place in the districts of Santa Anita, San Martín de Porres, and Puente Piedra. As a result, authorities arrested 20 individuals and rescued 84 victims, including two minors.
More Suspects Under Investigation
Investigations also led to the identification of eight locations where approximately 24 individuals were linked to a human trafficking network. Authorities estimate that this organization affected around 50 minor victims.
