Recently, she’s reached a significant point in her journey to the throne, becoming an adult and starting her military training.

In August 2023, Princess Leonor went to the Military Academy of Zaragoza, feeling both nervous and excited. Two months later, on the same day she was supposed to take an oath, she became the official heiress.

She made a historic speech during her swearing-in, saying:

“I owe myself to all Spaniards, whom I will serve at all times with respect and loyalty.”

She asked people to trust her because she trusts in the future of her country.

For eight months, she’s been undergoing tough military training, and she’s been doing really well. Her bosses have said she’s been treated just like everyone else, without any special treatment.

Revelations About Princess Leonor’s Personality

Former Head of the Royal Household, Alberto Aza, recently talked about Leonor. He said she’s been amazing since she was a kid. He praised her temperament and discipline, saying they’re crucial for her future as a queen.

He also mentioned her time at UWC Atlantic College in Wales, where she passed an interview with flying colors. The test for entering UWC is anonymous, so nobody knew it was her.

Aza also had good things to say about the Kings, praising how they’ve raised Leonor and her sister Sofia.

What Awaits the Princess of Asturias After the Military Training?

Leonor is almost done with her time in Zaragoza. According to the academy’s schedule, exams will be held from May 11 to 24. After that, there will be two weeks of final instruction and training ending on June 7. Finally, on June 19, there will be a closing ceremony attended by King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

After that, Leonor will have a short vacation in Palma de Mallorca before continuing her military training at the Military School of Marín.
