A violent leader of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, wanted for a shocking robbery in Aurora, Colorado, was arrested during an immigration raid in New York, according to law enforcement sources cited by The Post.

Who is Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco?

Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, was detained during an operation carried out early Tuesday morning. Heavily armed agents from Homeland Security Investigations entered a building on Ogden Avenue in the Bronx to apprehend him.

The man was wanted for multiple serious crimes in Colorado, including kidnapping, robbery, and threats. Sources close to the case identified him as a key leader of Tren de Aragua, a dangerous gang originating in Venezuela that has expanded its criminal activities beyond its borders.

A Robbery Caught on Camera

Zambrano-Pacheco was identified as one of the suspects involved in a violent robbery in Aurora, on the outskirts of Denver. This incident, which took place last August, was captured by surveillance cameras. The footage shows several armed men forcing their way into an apartment.

The video, which quickly went viral, brought Aurora into the national spotlight. Since then, this city of approximately 400,000 residents has been identified as a hotspot for Tren de Aragua’s activity, with gang members taking over several apartment complexes.

His Arrival in New York

Although it is unclear when Zambrano-Pacheco arrived in New York City, his arrest marks a significant blow to Tren de Aragua’s operations in the United States.
